Meander through the plantation and talk with Tjilbanyaba – the tree man as he discusses the Eucalyptus that feeds America’s koalas, marsupials, giraffes, okapi, and exotic animals.

Directions - Warning: do not use GPS, nor google maps – you’ll end up on the wrong side of the valley! Directions are as if you’re driving from phoenix area:

  • I-10 West, exit 81 (also called Salome Hwy/Harquahala Valley Road).

  • Turn south (that’s a left) and take an immediate right – this puts you on Harquahala Valley Road (HVR).

  • Follow for approximately 15 miles until it deadends at Baseline Road

  • Turn left and an immediate right to continue on HVR. Follow until turns to dirt. This is where you’ll see a large Australian Outback Plantation sign.

  • Continue on dirt until you come to the next large sign – turn left in front of that sign and follow into plantation.

  • At the fork in the road – hang to the right until you come to the barn. You’ll be directed to parking area.
