EREMOPHILA Glabra - Grey Horizon

A prostrate shrub 0.3–10’ in height. The leaves are arranged alternately, sometimes crowded, other times sparse, usually lance-shaped but they may also be linear to egg-shaped.

The flowers are red, orange, yellow or yellowish green, lack spots and are arranged singly or in pairs in the leaf axils.

The slender fuchsia is a showy desert plant.

  • This short evergreen shrub has upright branches and vibrant scarlet tubular flowers in winter.

  • It tolerates intense heat, drought, wind and light freezes.

  • Hummingbirds will frequent the blossoms.

  • Slender fuchsia can be grown in hot, dry soils in full sun and requires no irrigation once it’s established.
